Continuous Gas Analyzer for Combined Heat and Power Unit or Block-Type Thermal Power Station - Energy - Power Distribution
The power units use the energy of fuel in two ways. The fuel which is burned in a motor, as the mechanical energy, is used to generate electricity. The heat is used for heating purposes. The result is high efficiency, 80-90% of the fuels primary energy are used. In cogeneration units the plug end of the fuel energy is used particularly efficiently. The fuel is burned in a motor, the mechanical energy is used to generate electricity. At the same time the by-product heat is also used for heating purposes.
Details
As fuel, wood pellets are very common. The wood pellets As a result, 80-90% of the fuels primary energy are used.
One of our customers used among other things a renewable raw material, namely wood pellets, as fuel for its cogeneration plants.
These are converted into a first combustion with too little oxygen.
The resulting gas mixture contains, hydrogen (H2) and carbon monoxide (CO), which is in the next step used as fuel for power generation engines.
The monitoring of the hydrogen (H2) content of the fuel gas is realized with AGIMAS FTC-110 with T90 times of less than a second.
