Emission control solutions for fuel oil combustion sector - Oil, Gas & Refineries - Oil
For PM emission control in high temperature exhaust streams, such as those from fuel oil boilers, common dedusters like bag filters, have very high maintenance costs. The diesel and fuel oil fly ash can be quite sticky and clog to filter elements, which can be minimized with costly protection reagents or frequent filter elements changes. Fuel gas cooling is needed in front of the filter when temperatures are higher than 200ºC.

Overview Applications and Industries
Regular cyclones and multicyclones, if used as final dedusting system, are frequently not able to comply with current emission limits.
Clients' needsinclude a very high efficient final dedusting system at a reasonable price, robust enough to operate for many years without significant maintenance or operating costs and avoiding production downtime.

Fuel Oil Combustion | General Arrangement
- The general arrangement of a fuel oil combustion plant is the use of final dedusting system immediately after the fuel oil boiler.
- The Median Volume Diameter (MVD) of the fly ash coming directly from the boiler is typically 7.5µm with 14% under 1µm.
- The end stage deduster (either Bag Filter or a Hurricane System, is placed downstream of the pre-separator)
