Rising fuel and electric costs, along with global warming concerns have changed the way industrial facilities view energy consumption. Process equipment and air pollution control systems that were installed several years ago may not reflect the energy conscious designs available today, analyzing these systems to determine energy reduction opportunities can be a very valuable practice. Recovering waste heat is one of the easiest and most utilized means of reducing energy demands at industrial facilities.
Combining highly-experienced industry experts and a state-of-the-art research center, EVAPCO is constantly developing next generation technology for wet cooling tower systems, dry air-cooled steam condensing, and hybrid systems.
Turboden units allow to convert the heat collected by solar collectors into electricity through an efficient thermodynamic cycle. Concentrating Solar Power systems with Turboden ORC can be cost-effective from 200 kW electric, depending on the irradiation of the installation site.

MEGTEC is actively involved in providing Power Generation solutions for many applications ranging from utilizing process heat recovery systems to utilization with boilers, to recovering and utilizing Ventilation Air Methane (VAM) from coal mines.
MEGTEC has developed VAM processing technologies for either abatement only and in combination with energy recovery and utilization. MEGTEC’s proven technologies are destroying methane while generating high quality carbon credits, electricity for coal mines and heating...
Collect valuable biogas from anaerobic digestion systems with a GTI gas collection cover. In waste-to-energy projects, the collected biogas can be used as a renewable fuel to generate process heat or electricity, helping to offset energy costs.
PROJECT OVERVIEW: Large residential and commercial project in London, overlooking the Thames. A 2.9MW cooling and heating aquifer thermal energy storage system for five mixed-use buildings including over 200 luxury apartments.
Superior Boilers can be found burning digester methane gas, hydrogen, tallow (animal fats), biodiesel, sanderdust and recovering heat from biomass systems. In addition, Superior Boiler Works, Inc. has partnered with the biomass experts AESI located in Wichita, KS USA. AESI offers turnkey expertly designed biomass sytems and offers burn tests for a diverse array of materials
Farming operations that require heat also benefit from the CHP system. The return on investment will vary dependent on whether there is low or no cost access to wood chips and whether the 45 kWh of power can be fully utilized on site or, if not, what rate the power can be sold to the grid.
This solution comprises a Biogas Digester of desired capacity working with specific substrate as input. It may or may not have H2S scrubbing system, depending on the quantity of H2S in the biogas and the requirement by the customer for cleaning it. As the heating value of biogas is almost half that of cooking LPG, specially designed biogas burners are provided to improve cooking speed. Depending on the demand by the customer, a blower to increase gas pressure may be employed.
Any company that has a need for both heat and power is an ideal fit for the Borealis wood power system, especially if located in a rural setting where energy costs are high. The application requirement must be for the full 45 kWh of power for immediate use. If power requirement is not that high, then this energy can be sold to the regional power grid often at preferred rates. Options for off-grid solutions are being reviewed.
Cocoa processing plants are often located in remote areas with little or no access to fossil fuels. The cocoa shells represent up to 10 % of the processing capacity of a typical plant, and often have no market value. VYNCKE offers combustion systems to convert the cocoa shells into a reliable supply of steam for the sterilization, roasting and grinding process. Our systems effectively address the challenges of cocoa shells as a boiler fuel, and even allow co-generation (combined heat and power supply).
MDF production requires large amounts of energy. Most of the demand of energy is thermal: steam for the cooking and refining process, hot gas for drying and thermal oil for the continuous press. VYNCKE offers customized energy solutions, burning a wide variety of process fuels and external fuels (all types of biomass). The energy plant can be designed to produce steam in a direct way (through an integrated steam boiler) or in an indirect way via a thermal oil-steam heat exchanger. The system can be adjusted to...
The range of supply of biogas to electricity solutions is from 10 kW to 1 MW. All the components of the solution are provided with matching capacities.
It comprises the biogas digester system of the desired capacity, gas storage, biogas cleaning system to get rid of H2S from the gas, and the biogas genset. In the digester system, one may have a pre-digester or a feed mixing chamber or both. On the post-digester side, liquid from the slurry is separated and is recycled for feed preparation. It reduces the overall...
