In order to generate electricity from municipal waste or RDF, modern Energy from Waste plants with optimised flue gas cleaning systems are used. The aim of flue gas cleaning is to chemically neutralise the harmful gases, reduce pollutants such as dioxins, furans and heavy metals and to remove the particulate in the gas with an efficiency of greater than 99.99%. Highly efficient bag filters are used to effectively remove the dust particles and reacted product.
