You can turn excavation of caverns for storage of hydrogen, compressed air and natural gas, into a CO2 free electricity production plant by using SaltPower osmotic solution mining technology. This turns cost into a revenue stream by replacing your leaching pumps and generating a net output of electricity. Since the Saltpower osmotic leaching pumps are modular, they can easily be transported to a new site after completion of a cavern excavation.
