V-tex Scrubber for Biogas Treatment - Energy - Bioenergy
ERG has experience of treating biogas from sewage sludge and municipal waste anaerobic digestion.
The wet gas cleaning package conditions the biogas to make it suitable for use in a compressor or gas engine, or for export to the grid, bringing contaminant and water content within the acceptable range for reliable operation. The abatement package also removes the gaseous contaminants (mainly H2S and ammonia) which result in high concentration emissions of SO2 and NOx post combustion.
Depending on the biogas composition and the desired characteristics of the liquid effluent stream from the package, ERG can provide either a packed tower or V-tex® scrubber package. For sites requiring zero-effluent, we can provide a V-tex® scrubber, operating with a highly concentrated scrubbing solution which minimises the quantity of liquid effluent, and then treat the effluent using an evaporator from a partner company – providing a solid, crystalline discharge from the abatement package.
ERG can frequently assist with the package design as part of a FEED and then in the subsequent supply of a robust and effective gas cleaning package.
