Diehl is well-versed in technical sales and business management and his skillset and industry knowledge will help give ASHCOR customers a trustworthy and personalized sales experience.
As Sales Manager, Diehl will oversee business development efforts for the growing ASHCOR brand, with a specific focus on the Permian region and Texas as a whole. He will work with current and potential customers to assess their upstream and midstream equipment and service needs and pair them with proper ASHCOR offerings and those of its family of brands.
“We are pleased to have Mike join the ASHCOR team as we continue to grow, especially into the upstream sector of oil and gas,” said ASHCOR’s Chief Executive Officer, Andy Smith. “His proven sales success and ability to cultivate customer relationships will prove to be invaluable in the industries we work in.”
Diehl’s career has included working for a variety of large oil and gas-related and industrial companies headquartered in the Dallas-Fort Worth and Houston areas, including Weatherford International, Thrubit, Schlumberger and Zeotech Corp. His specialties include creating and implementing innovative sales strategies, developing new territories, bringing new products to market and growing company profitability through sales. He has successfully navigated his multiple sales teams through the volatile ups and downs of the oil and gas market, including recent economic downturns.
Diehl’s experience in prospecting, managing customer relationships, account management, collaboration, client retention and strategic planning will help support continued growth at ASHCOR. “I am proud to become a member of the ASHCOR team and I look forward to helping bring continued success to a growing company that has developed a great reputation in the oil and gas industry,” Diehl said.
Diehl attended Washburn University in Topeka, Kan. where he earned a Bachelor of Science in physics with a minor in mathematics. He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), Society of Petrophysicists and Well Log Analysts (SPWLA), OCF Wildcatters Fort Worth, Fort Worth Geological Society and International Association of Drilling Contractors.
