To support the international market development of German companies, the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology is arranging the Business Travel Program of the German Chambers of Commerce, within the framework of the Renewable Energy Export Initiative.
The focus of these business trips lies on individually arranged, one-off appointments where a company can meet potential business partners on location. The German Chamber of Commerce (AHK) puts together a program and makes the necessary appointments.
In addition, on each business trip there is a one-day event for company and product presentations. The local Chamber of Commerce invites representatives from politics, national associations and commercial enterprises. Presentations are also given on the markets and technologies from the country concerned. Each business trip usually lasts 3-4 days.
The Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology absorbs the costs of the Chambers of Commerce and the business provider within the Business Travel Program. The participating companies contribute their travel expenses (flights, transfer, accommodation, meals).
The AHK Business Program is arranged by the German Foreign Chambers of Commerce in cooperation with business providers and is coordinated by the German Association of Chambers of Industry and Commerce.
