Polysolar designed and supplied a retrofit roof garden canopy for Willmott Dixon Healthcare Campus at BRE Innovation Park, Watford.
Objective:
To provide a weather proof canopy designed to offer a warm light but shaded area for sitting out in while also contributing to the buildings electricity requirements.
Result:
The canopy was mounted on an existing wood laminate frame, utilising Schletter glazing bar and clamp system to mount the glazing. The installation uses Polysolar PS-C- series transparent units as a replacement for a polycarbonate sheets.
The Polysolar Solar Canopy Systems use standard glazing bar systems and silicone sealants to ensure water tightness. This resulted in a fully certified weather proof canopy. The main structure was constructed of glu-Lam with glazing bars as supports and mounting for the glass modules.
