Gila River - Residential Solar Lighting - Case study
Courtesy of Greenshine New Energy LLC
The Gila River Indian Community had very few street lights and needed to light up multiple residential areas. Greenshine worked closely with GRIC to design a lighting plan, using a variety of models, based on the request of the community.
About The Project
Lighting Type: Residential LED Lighting Fixtures
Series: 100 Units Supera60, Supera40, Lumina30
City: Gila River, AZ
The Scope
GRIC wanted similar/matching solar light systems to add to the areas that already had a few existing grid tied streetlights, so we provided our Supera60 to match. In other particularly dark residential areas, at the request of GRIC, we provided a lower wattage Supera40.
Lighting Customization
The decorative Lumina30 system was chosen for specific locations where senior tribal members resided. All of the residential LED lighting fixtures installed had batteries placed underground to avoid overheating in the hot summer months. The Gila River Indian Community had a very positive response and plans to add additional Greenshine lights in the future.
