H2 Energy 7m3 DIY Biogas Storage
50 years after The Beatles barged their way into the public consciousness, fellow Merseysiders H2 Energy hope to herald a new wave of inspiration and confidence for the renewable energy sector by introducing their Bio Refining process.
It would be quite wrong to describe H2 Energy as the new kids on the block however, as there is an enviable pedigree lurking behind the companies youthful good looks that inspires confidence in all the right places.
Having already attracted the backing of Liverpool City Council, H2 Energy have announced securing £30m from Jones Lang LaSalle in support of self funded, Energy from Waste projects.
The principle of providing a separate nurturing environment in which the most suitable bacteria for the various stages of the organic decomposition processes can thrive, seems to us to display a good deal of commonsense and indicates a well thought out proposition.
For their touring test plant, H2 Energy purchased a 7m3 Base gas holder which in this instance fits on top of the shipping container, but in reality the triple membrane Base gas holder system could be designed to fit into any available space.
As we have found here at Base, the long term credibility and hence success of any good company relies on the employment and retention of key staff. Steve Price, H2 Energy Chief Technical Officer is a good example of this. Base first partnered with Steve on the Alderley Edge biogas project where he was an early investor in the Base Gas Holder system which he used to compliment his early multi stage Anaerobic Digestion (AD) process.
Steve’s modus operandi is apparent in the latest iteration of the H2 Energy multi-stage process which now inhabits a space no larger than a standard shipping container.
