Octane engine is used for gasoline octane testing. Gas to Gasoline or Gas-to-Liquids, it is a more economical and cleaner way to convert natural gas into gasoline and other liquid fuels.
Several steps are needed to turn natural gas into gasoline. Natural gas is broken down under high temperatures into acetylene and a liquid-phase step converts the acetylene into ethylene. This can be converted into a number of fuel products, including gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel.
SINAR FTC-M2 Octane engines are used to test octane number of gasoline samples from gas, that means gas to gasoline, at the refinery in Central Aria.
This kind of gasoline contains a lot of volatile components, that can easily produce unstable knock intensity during knock testing using the CFR octane engine. FTC-M2 Octane engines can solve this issue very well. The four-bowl carburetor is equipped with a cooling system connected to the intake air humidity refrigeration unit, that can effectively reduce the volatilization of light components in the gasoline sample to get the stable output of knock intensity signal.
