Solar development business plan case study

In 2010 MJB&A developed a $1 billion solar business plan for a major U.S. utility holding company.  The project encompassed assessing solar investment technology and opportunities for the client’s local distribution companies across multiple jurisdictions.  Work included evaluating project feasibility of utility investment in distributed, commercial and utility scale solar projects from the legal, regulatory and financial perspectives.  We performed in-depth analysis of regulatory requirements and incentives and dynamic financial modeling that allowed the client to quantify the risks and benefits of varying combinations of solar projects and timing for rollout.
