Student Experience Amsterdam Minervahaven - Case Study
Courtesy of Kromatix™ SA
Amsterdam Minervahaven residence is the latest facility of Student Experience offering sustainable student housing. Amsterdam Minervahaven uses a Building Integrated Photovoltaic (BIPV) facade measuring approximately 3,000 sqm. The Kromatix™ light-grey coloured solar glass hides the internal structure of the solar panel while refracting colour, creating an elegant BIPV solution for solar powered facades.
The Dutch architecture firm VURB Architects beautifully designed Student Experience Amsterdam Minervahaven. The stunning BIPV facade is designed and installed by Solarlab in collaboration with Pleijsierbouw and the solar panels are produced in collaboration with Solvis. The solar panels, of multiple sizes, are installed at various angles this gives the BIPV facade a playful feel as the Kromatix™ changes colour under varying light conditions.
