Spanish engineering, procurement and construction companies’ long track record in the concentrated solar power (CSP) sector provides them with a distinctive advantage to develop large-scale projects around the world. In addition, it gives them a competitive edge when addressing challenges that are particular to these developments.

Our most recent article: “The challenge of local content examined, a Spanish solution in South Africa” explores the obstacles arising from the local content requirements established by the South African government to develop CSP projects and the experience of Spanish and local investors on the ground.

South Africa is one of the most promising CSP markets, with up to 200MWh allocated every year in the last three bidding rounds. With that goal in mind, most experts predict lots of opportunities for Spanish and international companies in South Africa, mainly in the supply chain.

The 8th International Concentrated Solar Thermal Power Summit CSP Today Seville 2014, to be held on 12th and 13th November 2014, is the perfect time to learn about the latest developments in CSP from the companies involved in the most important projects around the globe.

This year’s program will focus on the experience Spanish companies have gained operating projects in different markets as well as the latest advances in thermal storage innovations.

The event will feature the participation of leading companies such as Aalborg CSP, Abengoa, Acciona, ACS, ACWA Power, Cobra Energía, Magtel, Nest, Sener, TSK, Csiro, Huiyin Group and RioGlass.
