One AEMS system is now in operation with a second soon to be commissioned. When fully operational 80,000kg of sludge a day will be processed by four anaerobic digesters, producing up to 26,400 m3 of biogas a day. The gas monitoring system is checking the quality of gas being burned by a 2,569 kVA/h CHP engine, as well as checking the stability of the anaerobic digestion process.

Kuzu Group is an operator and contractor of one of the biggest waste water treatment plants in Turkey and operates all the wastewater treatment plants in Istanbul. With over 1,000 employees, 3,000,000 m3 of waste water a day are treated through 28 units of biological waste water treatment plants, 2 advanced biological waste water treatment plants, 9 waste water preliminary facilities and 68 pumping stations.

The $150m Antalya wastewater treatment plant also has a panoramic conference room built on top of the digesters accessible by an elevator.
