Uncertainty, carbon dioxide concentrations and fossil fuel use
This paper evaluates the atmospheric CO2 impact of recent energy scenarios. The impact of the expected four-fold increase in energy use is compared with that reflecting a reduced fossil fuel-burning scenario. Measurement of the alternative impact is needed using an econometric modelling approach to the traditional atmospheric equilibrium model. Prescriptions are given regarding the benefits of the reduced fossil fuel demand scenario.
