The company serves coal, gas-fired combined cycle, concentrated solar, geothermal, nuclear, waste-to-energy, and biomass power plants. Balcke-Dürr GmbH was formerly known as Düsseldorf-Ratinger Röhrenkesselfabrik DÜRR & CO and changed its name to Balcke-Dürr GmbH in 1971.
