Celsius
Development, production and implementation of heat exchanger screws: °Celsius has it all in its own hands. In this process quality is the most important thing. You can tell from our own test centre, the warranty of the supplied heat exchangers and the quick and efficient way you are being helped. °Celsius is the sister company of the famous company Van Beek schroeftransport, which has been producing screw conveyors since 1939. Based on its experience of many years °Celsius has established itself in 2002 as an independent and specialist unit for the development and realization of thermal screws.

Process
Cooling
After production many products are not at the right temperature yet for further processing. There are many different ways to cool solid substances again. Indirect cooling with water or with a water/glycol water (antifreeze) or direct cooling with liquid nitrogen.
Which way of cooling is most suitable, depends on the final temperature which must be realized and on the required velocity of back cooling. Through indirect cooling a temperature up to -10C can be realized.
Heating
Heating is indispensable if the temperature of the solid product needs to be increased for processing. Heating can be done indirectly with water (max. 100C) or thermal oil (max. 290C).
The choice for direct or indirect heating is determined by the available medium (maybe hot water is already available which can be easily drawn off and returned?) and the process needs (is quick or gradual heating required?). The maximum capacity is roughly 10 t/hour. Of course this depends on the process variables. We would be glad to explore the possibilities for you.
Drying
Many production holdings dry directly with air. This is a very energy-consuming process. The indirect drying process from °Celsius will drastically lower your costs. We dry with indirect heating of screws and wall with - depending on the availability of and/or process requirements - hot water or thermal oil. Indirect drying is very suitable for afterdrying of the powder forms and when a longer retention time is necessary to get complete drying.
Whether or not indirect drying can be employed in your production process depends on the moist percentage in the substance, the product stream and the amount of solid substances. The maximum capacity of a °Celsius dryer is a moist evaporation of roughly 1000 l/hour. Of course the maximum capacity depends on the process variables.
Keeping temperature
In het productieproces is het soms nodig om vaste stoffen een periode op dezelfde temperatuur te houden.
For example:
1.When mixing: Solid substances must be kept at the same temperature before being processed (e.g. to avoid treacliness).
2.During transport: During the production process substances must be kept at the same temperature when transported.
3.Keeping machinery at the same temperature: The surface must have a certain heat or cold before being processed (to avoid adherence or greasing).
4.To garantee a fixed temperature there is a need for cooling or heating. To do this water or thermal oil is used
