The Cratech Vision
Joe Craig, founder of Cratech, Inc., began his odyssey in high school where he created a hydrogen-powered lawnmower as a science project. Later, while obtaining his Masters Degree, he began lo envision the technology that would become Ihe Cratech Energy System. Craig chose to design and build a biomass gasification system as part of his graduate program in Agricultural Engineering. Following graduation, Craig was employed in the power plant research division of a major engine manufacturer to develop more efficient gas turbines, diesel engines, and alternative fuels. Anticipating escalating fuel prices and declining conventional energy resources, Craig established Cratech, Inc. to fully devote himself to the development and production of Advanced Biomass Fueled Power Plant technology. After almost two decades, the fruit of this labor has been refined into the fully developed, patented and demonstrated Cratedi Renewable Energy System.
Through private investment and government grants, Cratech received the funding that has led to the successful completion of what is now the third generation system at Cratech's facility near Lubbock, Texas. This fully operational system has awakened worldwide interest and demand from potential customers who are ready to use the complete power plant or the gasifiers in unit quantities of one to several hundred. These end-users include governments, military agencies, utilities and private companies in numerous industries, as well as those who are environmentally concerned, who want to purchase Cratech units for the production of electrical power, liquid fuels and chemicals, syngas, fertilizers, and waste recycling purposes.
The Biomass Fueled Power Plant is ready for commercialization and Cratech is now making the technology available to qualified companies and entities interested in licensing or manufacturing. The economics of the system provide a substantial opportunity for financial reward and a portion of the global energy market.
