Dordtech Engineering B.V.
Dordtech is a Dutch based company with branches in the UK and others. Dordtech is a privately-owned company and is recognized as a front-runner in renewable energy technologies. Dordtech offers a complete solution from gas treatment to the actual connection to the net (heating/energy supply). This solution is being realised either in-house or as joint venture with reliable partners. In 1997 an operating system was successfully developed enabling gas engines to run on petrol fumes. The operating systems was designed that even gaseous fumes with relatively low caloric values vol CH4 equiv. can be processed without any problems. Since then, similar installations have been installed at several major tank storage companies and (petro)chemical companies throughout Europe.

History
In 2002, a development program was started to modify a diesel engine to run on bio fuel like animal fat and frying fat. The first design comprised of a very robust medium speed engine. On this installation Dordtech gathered experience for over 30.000 running hours on several types of bio fuel.
With this experience, in 2005 development commenced of a CHP installation with a modern high speed diesel engine as power plant. High speed engines have several advantages over medium speed engines (see bio oil CHP for more information). Several experiments in a pilot- installation have resulted in the possibility to develop complete CHP-installations on bio-fuel, a very good alternative for a natural gas fuelled CHP. There is also the possibility to set up a dual fuel engine to combine for example fuels like biogas and bio-oils.
