About Ploos
Ploos was established in 1995 by Joop Ploos van Amstel. In 1997 its current director, Joost Ploos van Amstel, joined the company. At that time, Ploos was mainly busy with setting a system for returning discarded products, such as televisions, refrigerators and sheet glass. Additional areas in which Ploos operated in earlier years were product-oriented environmental care, green marketing, sustainable buying and eco-design.
By 2014, Ploos and its 20 employees have become devoted entirely to energy related topics. It helps its customers get a grip on energy and substantially reduce their energy consumption and the related costs. For this purpose, Ploos uses Bespaar (= Save), a web application that it has developed as well as other internally developed online energy services, such as invoice control, the energy benchmark, and the online calculation and presentation of the saving potential.
