Highview Power Storage
We need true long-duration energy storage to balance the grid and strengthen our power networks. Highview Power is the missing piece of the energy puzzle. We offer a liquid-air energy storage solution, available at sizes which can dispatch enough electricity to power more than 200,000 homes for 12 hours for a two-week period. We can do this at half the cost of lithium-ion batteries and release zero emissions in the process. Our reliable solution is based on proven technology with a system lifespan of more than 30 years. Highview Power is the only company in the world deploying this technology and we have the experience of building and running our own plants in the UK. With our global engineering partners, we support our customers from scoping and planning through to build and operation.

About Us
Growing demand, changing consumption, increasing intermittency: the energy market is under pressure. The world needs an affordable, scalable solution that can store energy for many hours – even days.
Highview Power’s CRYOBattery delivers, clean, reliable, and cost-efficient long-duration energy storage to enable a 100% renewable energy future.
Cool air technology for a cooler planet
Our CRYOBattery can deliver anywhere from 20 MW/80 MWh to more than 200 MW/1.2 GWh of energy and can power up to 200,000 homes for a whole day. We do this at half the cost of lithium-ion batteries and release zero emissions in the process.
Experience, expertise and excellence
We have an enviable management team that has developed and financed over $20 billion in energy and infrastructure projects worldwide. With our global engineering partners, we support our customers from scoping and planning to building and operation.
A proven industrial process
Our proprietary cryogenic energy storage technology is based on the principle of air liquefaction. This enables the easy storage of air as a liquid providing high-density storage. At the point of need, we convert the liquid back to a gas, generating energy that powers our turbines and produces electricity.
