However, at present the Korean automotive industry is facing a number ofserious issues and complex challenges at home and abroad.
Some of these major challenges include difficulties in exporting to major global markets such as the United States and China, increasing competition with China, the resurgence of the manufacturing industry of developed countries, and fierce competition in developing future cars. Moreover, there are various domestic challenges such as meeting safety regulations, addressing environmental regulations, and normalizing labor relations, to name a few.
