Udhaya Energy Photovoltaics Pvt Ltd (UPV)
UPV SOLAR was promoted in 2004 by directors who played a pioneering role in solar PV cell and module manufacture in India for decades. Technology development was considered key to engaging in solar PV space and with the same skill and grit in mind, the Directors have been engaged in In-house products and process development. The company has been a fore runnerin meeting the water pumping, Grid-Tie and Off-Grid applications based on PV, apart from manufacture and export of solar modules for overseas buyers under OEM basis. Special application modules were developed with In-house design capability and exported for the past over a decade to Europe, USA, UK, Australia and other parts of the world.

About Us
The selective automation employed in the facility has helped the company to achieve high yield levels. The plant has the flexibility of handling wafers from 210 micron thickness upwards. The total plant capacity of 12 MW on two shifts helps to deliver quality cells with short lead time. The plant is located in a clean room facility and process parameters are closely monitored with adequate data base.
Cell Line:
Cell line installed capacity is 12MW capable (on two shift basis) of delivering 125mm PSQ and 156mm PSQ cells. We process Multi crystalline and Mono crystalline cells with Ti O2 antireflection coating. UPV solar has to its credit published technical papers in cell process in various international technical journals. Our company owns the technology by way of in-house development. We have published Technical papers in International Journal on some of the proprietary processes employed. We continue to work towards enhancing the performance of the cells in view of our committed team of scientists and Engineers Mono cells are capable of 15.5% to 17.5% conversion efficiency. Multi crystalline cells are capable of conversion efficiency 14.5% to 15.5%. Each cell produced is tested for its Vmax, Imax, Voc and Isc and low intensity energy delivery. They are graded to so that all the cells in one module have similar parameters for maximum performance.
