The 2nd Myanmar Power Development Summit 2020 (MPDS2020)
The 2nd Myanmar Power Development Summit 2020 (MPDS2020) is going to take place on 20-21 May in Yangon, Myanmar. It is my honor to invite you and your colleagues to join us to explore exciting business opportunities and showcase your advanced solutions in the fast growing economy in ASEAN. With a population of around 60 million, Myanmar ranks the lowest in terms of electrification rate in the ASEAN countries as less than 40% of its populations have access to electricity. While electricity consumption in Myanmar is growing at double-digit rate annually, power capacity growth is lagging far behind. How to overcome infrastructure development and secure adequate power supply to meet the country industrial needs while realizing 100% electrification by 2030 is a critical challenge to the government.
