A 10% rise in the exhibition space booked for Expobioenergía 2011
The booking period closed at the end of June with a slight rise in the amount of space hired during the same period in 2010.
2011, July -- Although the registration deadline for exhibitors was the end of last month, a number of firms are in the process of completing and confirming the terms and conditions of participation, which means that three months ahead of the event, these figures are still provisional and could experience a further rise in September.
The figures at the end of the exhibitor registration period show that Expobioenergía is continuing to enjoy steady growth. The 10% rise in the amount of exhibition space reserved is a clear indication not only of the fair's leading position as a meeting point for the sector, but also the optimism that can be felt throughout the industry. In terms of product and service groups, there has also been a rise in the number of exhibitors manufacturing equipment for solid biofuel production (pellets and chips), heating and cooling and biogas production. In contrast, there has been a slight drop in exhibitors in the biofuel for transport sector.
Biogas, one of Spain's key emerging sectors, is an attractive alternative for generating electricity in rural environments, opening up new income opportunities for farmers and livestock breeders. It is also a solution for livestock farms during the elimination of effluents and other waste products, whilst at the same time protecting the environment by preventing the emission of methane from solid and liquid manure.
Although the sector is still in its early stages in Spain, an increasing number of biogas production projects are now beginning to get off the ground. In this sense, Expobioenergía represents an attractive opportunity for farmers and livestock breeders, as well as the chance to explore key ways of enhancing their business through the benefits of biogas production.
Technical Sessions
Registered exhibitors are now hurrying to reserve their place at the Technical Sessions organised by Expobioenergía. Once again, the trade fair has arranged an exhaustive programme featuring the latest technological innovations, technical solutions and biomass projects targeting farmers, livestock breeders, the forestry and industrial sectors, installers, entrepreneurs, waste managers, architects, consultants and investors, etc. In short, the workshops are aimed at professionals operating in southern Europe and Latin America.
All those exhibitors interested in taking part in the Technical Sessions should contact the organisation to consult available dates and times. The programme will be posted on the website in August.
