Productivity is set to increase at Landia’s headquarters in Lem, Denmark, where the pump and mixer specialist is nearing completion of a brand new GBP£1.65M, 2,000m3 extension to its factory.
Despite the challenging economic climate, Landia’s Managing Director, Poul Hjulmand says that the 77-year-old company is continuing to grow – and that investment is a must.
“Our vast experience and passionate belief in top quality products and service has made us much, much more than just a pump and mixer manufacturer”, said Hjulmand.
“There has been a major upturn in end-users who demand genuine life cycle costs, energy efficient equipment and proper back up service when they need help. Landia meets those requirements hands down. We are enthusiastic and highly professional problem solvers whose consultancy is worth its weight in gold”.
Designed to increase throughput and logistical operations, Landia’s new factory extension brings manufacturing space at the Lem premises to 12,000m3. The new building work has also given the company the opportunity to reorganise and enhance its entire factory operation.
Hjulmand added: “We are confident for the future. Landia has many legs to stand on because we serve such a diverse range of industries. I am very proud of our dedicated workforce and their total professionalism”.
