Abengoa has been awarded the construction of a new transmission network in Mexico

Abengoa (MCE: ABG.B/P SM /NASDAQ: ABGB), the international company that applies innovative technology solutions for sustainability in the energy and environment sectors, has been selected by the Mexico Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) to develop the engineering and construction of a new 21.1 km transmission network in the state of Chihuahua, located north of the country.
Abengoa will be responsible for the engineering, design and construction, and also fo the commissioning, of four lines of 230 kV and a length of 21.1 km; and two substations of 230 kV with ten high-voltage feeders. The total contract amounts to 17.3 M$.
Abengoa is present in Mexico since 1979, where it already has extensive experience in the development and construction of projects both for the Mexican government and for the private sector. With this new contract, Abengoa consolidates its leadership position in this sector and its commitment to the Mexican market.
