Abengoa is building a road to improve access to public bus to Campus Palmas Altas
The vial will connect the Bermejales neighborhood to the pedestrian walkway leading to Abengoa’s headquarters
Abengoa (MCE: ABG.B/P SM /NASDAQ: ABGB), an international company that applies innovative technology solutions for sustainability in the energy and environment sectors, will carry out the construction of a road to the access of public transport buses from Bermejales neighborhood to the pedestrian walkway that crosses the SE-30 and leads to Campus Palmas Altas. The objective of this initiative is none other than to improve connections between the Abengoa’s headquarters and the public transport in the city of Seville, promoting, thus, the use of it among employees and providing a new way to access the workplace.
Specifically, the new highway will connect Irlanda Street to the walkway, where a new stop to provide service to different bus lines will be installed. This project has a total budget of about one million Euros, and will facilitate access to the pedestrian walkway linking Abengoa’s headquarters to the Bermejales neighborhood.
This walkway was designed and built by Abengoa in 2012 and allows for a more comfortable, safe and sustainable movement of city employees to the workplace. Moreover, citizens of Seville can enoy it all as it was ceded by Abengaoa to the Municipality.
With this initiative, Abengoa reinforces its commitment to the environment, investing in sustainable mobility by promoting the use of public transport, and contributing to a significant reduction in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
Campus Palmas Altas is the first business park dedicated to innovation in Andalusia and the largest corporate private enterprise technology center in southern Spain. The center gathers all activity by Abengoa in Seville around the most advanced technologies, environmental excellence and sustainable development.
