Advanced Plasma Power is presenting at the “Second International Slag Valorisation conference” on 18th-20th April in Leuven, Belgium.
Advanced Plasma Power Ltd. (“APP”) the UK’s first energy from waste company to use breakthrough Gasplasma® technology is participating in the “Second International Slag Valorisation conference” on 18th-20th April
in Leuven, Belgium.
Chris Chapman, APP Chief Technical Officer, is presenting on ‘Thermal plasma processing in the production of value added products from Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) derived sources.’ during the second session on Tuesday 19th April.
Mr. Chapman said. “The symposium is a great opportunity to exchange valuable ideas on the commercial application of various slag products with some of the world’s leading authorities in this field.”
The APP Gasplasma technology is the world’s most efficient energy from waste process available. It efficiently transforms Refuse Derived Fuel (“RDF”), made from MSW, into two products:
A hydrogen-rich synthesis gas that is clean enough to be used directly in gas engines to generate renewable power and heat Plasmarok, a mechanically strong, environmentally inert product which can be used as a construction aggregate, amongst other things
The symposium is a three day International Academic conference on the ‘Valorisation of slags and other high temperature residues.’
The event organisers are ‘The Centre for High Temperature Processes and Industrial Ecology’ and the ‘THERMO Research Group’; both part of the Department of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering of the University of Leuven, Belgium. It is taking place at the Thermotechnical Institute on the University Campus.
