Bloomberg New Energy Finance and our energy efficiency performance analysis friends, EEVS Insight, have announced a research partnership to boost transparency in the energy efficiency sector.

The new market insight series ‘EEVS/Bloomberg Energy Efficiency Trends’will deliver regular updates on key sector activity such as the number of energy efficiency projects taking place, the technologies being deployed, project costs and expected financial returns.

Graham Mills, Drumbeat Energy Managing Director said:

“As our readers know, Drumbeat first sponsored the Energy Efficiency Trends Report in May – and we will continue to support this essential insight and market intelligence for the energy efficiency sector. This new collaboration is great news for the industry, it will allow us to reach a much wider audience.”

Updated quarterly and free to download, the research is wholly evidence-based, drawing on survey feedback from customers and suppliers of commercial energy saving products and services.

Commenting on the collaboration, Bloomberg New Energy Finance’s Tom Rowlands-Rees said:

“Bloomberg New Energy Finance is thrilled to have joined forces with EEVS on this initiative. Energy efficiency is frequently hailed for its financial and environmental benefits, but reliable information on the opportunity is notoriously difficult to find. We were impressed with the progress that EEVS have made in addressing this by leveraging their position as independent experts within the sector.

“Energy Efficiency Trends has become the barometer of commercial activity in the sector. The initiative has great potential and we are looking forward to adding our global perspective on clean energy and finance to further develop the research and to take it to a wider audience.”

Ian Jeffries, Head of Commercial at EEVS Insight, added:

“As well as delivering a tremendous boost to Energy Efficiency Trends, this research partnership with Bloomberg New Energy Finance is important recognition of the quality and rigour that EEVS builds in to all of our analytical services.

“Like Bloomberg, EEVS aims to improve market transparency and support better decision-making through the provision of high-quality business information. By combining our energy efficiency expertise with Bloomberg New Energy Finance’s broad coverage of the energy sector, the collaboration will allow us to take Energy Efficiency Trends to a new level and reach a wider, corporate audience.”

The first edition of EEVS/Bloomberg Energy Efficiency Trends will be published in September 2013. The first survey – which is open to participation – will be conducted during July and August. To sign up, visit
