Central Battery System for Her Majesty’s Theatre Ballarat

BARDIC Emergency Lighting has recently supplied Her Majesty’s Theatre in Ballarat, Victoria with a Central Battery System (CBS) for its Emergency Lighting system.
Her Majesty’s has been a central part of the cultural life of Ballarat since it first opened its doors in 1875. Australia’s best preserved theatre building, it has been continuously used as Ballarat’s home of live performance ever since. It has been owned and operated by the City of Ballarat since 1987 and functions as Ballarat’s premier performing arts centre.
Services Overview
The CBS has been specifically designed to run 161 Exit and Emergency fittings for a period of 3 hours. The system was designed and assembled by the MPower Products Team in Melbourne and features:
- 10x Haze HZB12/70 batteries
- 3,000W high efficiency battery charger with intelligent microprocessor control
- Serial and TCP/IP communications available
- Supports SNMP and modbus
- USB connection on front panel for local pc connection enabling parameter change and history downloads
- Up to 16 programable alarm or control outputs
- 2 levels of low voltage alarm allowing for an early warning before low voltage disconnect
- Internal battery capacity test circuit
- Broad operating temperature window of -15°C to +65°C
- Multi language support in the controller makes it suitable for export
