Marriott has been named as the leading global hotel chain in sustainability by Climate Counts, a nonprofit that scores the world’s largest companies on efforts to shrink their carbon footprint. According to its latest ranking of major hotel companies, Marriott is at the top of the list, followed by Starwood, Hyatt, Wyndham, Hilton, and Carlson. All the companies but Hilton raised their scores over last year’s.
Dow Corning’s silicone technologies were featured at the Green Building Asia Conference, held last week in Singapore. Dow Corning’s silicone-based materials are used in structural glazing, weatherproofing and insulating, creating thermal efficiency that lowers energy consumption. This year’s conference was dedicated to sustainability products, technologies, and practices in green roofing, mobility, and energy-efficient building systems.
