Sprint is the only American wireless carrier named to the Environmental Protection Agency’s national Green Power Partners List. The purchase of wind-power energy helped the company secure its Number 19 ranking on the EPA’s Top 50 list. Wind power proves more than 90 percent of the electric needs for Sprint’s headquarters in Overland Park, Kansas. Sprint is also incorporating other alternative energy solutions as solar, hydrogen fuel cells, and geothermal power across its business operations.
