Cummins Power Generation has deployed 415 rental generators through its distributors and dealers in the Northeast to help with Hurricane Sandy relief efforts. The company has also delivered permanently installed standby power systems at hospitals, office buildings, and homes.
The U.K. government plans to triple its subsidies for renewable energy, from $3.7 billion today to $12.1 billion in 2020-21. The government hopes that proposed legislation will encourage investors to unlock the $175 billion it says is necessary to build new infrastructure while ensuring security of supply. The U.K. has been a net energy importer since 2004, exposing it to fluctuating world pricing.
GE’s GeoSpring hybrid electric water heater has been named to Building Green’s Top Ten list of green building products for 2013. GeoSpring is an Energy Star-qualified water heater that was selected for its energy savings and its innovative technology.
