Cyclone Power Technologies Receives Patents in 10 European Countries For its All-Fuel, Clean-Tech Engine
POMPANO BEACH, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Cyclone Power Technologies (Pink Sheets: CYPW), developer of the all-fuel, clean-tech Cyclone Engine, announced today that it has received patent protection on its Cyclone Engine in 10 European countries, comprised of Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, France, Switzerland, Spain, Italy, Poland, Sweden and Turkey.
Cyclone is currently working with European manufacturing and renewable energy leaders, such as Combilift (industrial lift equipment) and Renovalia Energy (solar thermal power); as well as global defense integrator Raytheon. With these additional patents, Cyclone’s technology is protected in 20 industrialized countries including the United States, where the company has received 10 patents on the Cyclone Engine, its major sub-components, and the closely-related Waste Heat Engine.
“Receiving these new patents is a significant development for our company and shareholders,” stated Christopher Nelson, Cyclone’s President. “Not only are we adding considerable value to our portfolio of intellectual property, but also patent protection throughout Europe allows us to focus on expanding our marketing and business efforts now rather than later. We look forward to updating the investment community and our shareholders as more corporate achievements come to fruition.”
The Cyclone Engine is a compact, high-efficiency, reciprocating Rankine cycle engine. Over the past two years, Cyclone Engines have been tested to run at efficiencies over 30%, exceeding most current gas-powered engines on the market. Higher efficiencies mean better gas mileage and reduced emissions within automotive applications. Because the Cyclone Engine runs on virtually any heat source, there are numerous other commercial applications for this technology including solar thermal power, combined heat and power (CHP), waste heat recovery, and waste-to-energy.

About Cyclone Power Technologies
Cyclone Power Technologies is the developer of the award-winning Cyclone Engine – an all-fuel, clean-tech engine with the power and versatility to run everything from waste energy electric generators and solar thermal systems to cars, trucks and locomotives. Invented by company founder and CEO Harry Schoell, the patented Cyclone Engine is a eco-friendly external combustion engine, ingeniously designed to achieve high thermal efficiencies through a compact heat-regenerative process, and to run on virtually any fuel - including bio-diesels, syngas or solar - while emitting fewer greenhouse gases and irritating pollutants into the air. The Cyclone Engine was recognized by Popular Science Magazine as the Invention of the Year for 2008, and was presented with the Society of Automotive Engineers’ AEI Tech Award in 2006 and 2008. Additionally, Cyclone was recently named Environmental Business of the Year by the Broward County Environmental Protection Department. For more information, visit www.cyclonepower.com.
