VALINHOS, SAO PAULO, BRAZIL -- More than 30 Brazilian cities have received in 2014 visits of the mobile unit of Eaton’s On The Road Program. In total, about 3,000 mechanics and 200 fleet owners of the states of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Espírito Santo, Bahia, Maranhão, Amazonas and Pará benefited from the initiative that aims to empower industry professionals in the assembly and disassembly of transmissions.
Technical professionals highlighted the damaging effects of pirate components as well as the importance of the use of special tools and good quality seals in repair.
“The guidance transmitted in the training contribute so that repairs are made correctly, in order to warrant a longer useful life of the parts,” said Fábio Fernandes, spare parts manager for Eaton in Brazil.
Eaton’s aftermarket business is planning to extend the program to provide simultaneous training in different regions of the country. For the first half of 2015, the programming will be offered in the North and Northeast regions of Brazil.
