Eaton Showcasing Solutions to Transform Renewable Energy into Reliable Power at Solar Power International Booth #536 from Oct. 21 through 23
PITTSBURGH -- Power management company Eaton is showcasing an expanded product and service portfolio at Solar Power International 2014, from Oct. 21 through 23, at the Las Vegas Convention Center. With a complete offering of balance of system (BOS) solutions, Eaton is helping utility and commercial customers make cost-effective, reliable solar generation a reality. Eaton will also host educational sessions at the event, while visitors at Eaton’s booth #536 can interact with the company’s application experts and products.
“Growing energy demand and environmental concerns continue to drive the growth of the global solar energy market,” said John Vernacchia, global segment manager for renewable energy, Eaton. “With innovative solutions and an expert engineering network, Eaton is positioned to solve the solar industry’s most critical challenges – maximizing harvest, reducing installation costs, maintaining reliable operations and enhancing safety.”
As utility-scale solar projects increase, it is important to understand how to optimize solar photovoltaic (PV) connection to the grid at the medium voltage alternating current (AC) level. From 4 to 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 22, Vernacchia will address equipment and application considerations in a presentation titled, “Medium Voltage AC Grid Connection Options for Utility-Scale Solar,” in Room 225. Attendees will learn the differences in medium-voltage switchgear options and explore how remote monitoring can help support reliable, efficient and safe utility grid connection.
Also on Oct. 22, from 4 to 6 p.m., Patrick Ho, director of System Solutions, will deliver best practices for optimizing return on investment (ROI) performance measurement in a presentation titled, “To Monitor or Not to Monitor, There is No Question.” The presentation will take place in booth #5100 to demonstrate how monitoring or smart wireless solutions can reduce installation costs and labor, enhance efficiency and safety, and help accurately predict ROI in utility-scale installations to simplify budget and project management.
Eaton’s products and services on display at Solar Power International in booth #536 will include:
- A complete range of electrical BOS solutions designed to maximize energy harvest, improve system reliability and enhance safety in utility and commercial applications.
