EISENMANN hosts biomass boiler workshops
(CRYSTAL LAKE, Ill.) September 3, 2008 – EISENMANN Corporation, together with Hurst Boiler and Process Barron has assembled a series of workshops to help owners and operators further understand their options for biomass powered systems.
Each workshop will consist of a one-day executive course intended for energy developers, engineering consultants and end-users of biomass boiler systems. The one-day course will cover topics that include:
• Project planning and management
• Boiler selection and design
• Fuel/ash handling
• Air pollution control
• Permitting issues
• Project financing
Attendees will learn fundamental concepts that will better enable them to successfully develop and execute a biomass-to-energy center project as well as better understand and specify integrated components within the energy center. Specific examples include: selecting engineering and equipment suppliers with budget and schedule in mind, understanding what equipment configurations and features are most important for long reliable operation, and performing an economic evaluation of a proposed project.
As conventional fossil fuel energy costs continue to rise and biomass fuels for steam production are becoming more of a viable option, EISENMANN is taking the lead by spearheading events that will better enable energy developers to successfully execute a biomass-to-energy steam plant project. With Hurst Boiler, an internationally recognized leader in the efficient combustion of biomass fuels, and Process Barron, a company that offers all components related to the movement of air and fuel to and from boilers, EISENMANN delivers a team of industry professionals with proven experience.
The intended workshop dates and locations are: Sept. 23, Providence, R.I., Sept. 25, St. Louis, Mo., and Oct. 7, Atlanta, Ga.
