Envido appoints new Director of Energy, Simon Tilleard
Envido is delighted to announce the appointment of Simon Tilleard as Director of Energy at Envido.
Simon is an award-winning building energy manager with extensive experience in the application of low-carbon technologies in building design, construction and operation.
He has twenty five years of experience in building energy management both as an in-house building and energy manager at the Natural History Museum (NHM) and, more recently, as a consulting engineer for the London Climate Change Agency and London Development Agency providing sustainable solutions for buildings.
Simon has an extensive track record in managing complex low energy and carbon refurbishment projects- one of the largest being the introduction of a 1.8 MWe Tri-generation CHP and expansion of power networks to improve the quality and provision of energy to the South Kensington Museums.
Amongst Simon’s achievements is leading the NHM to winning the CIBSE “100 days of carbon reduction” Best Communication Campaign Award in 2007. The Museum was also runner up for ‘Best Low Carbon Performance’ and was shortlisted in several other categories at the same Awards.
Simon holds an Msc in Building Services Engineering from Brunel University. He is a corporate member of CIBSE and has acted as a Consultee for DEFRA on Phases 1 & 2 of the EU ETS, the EPBD and the CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme.
