EnviTec Biogas an active exhibitor at trade fairs in Germany and abroad
One-to-one advice offered in China, Czech Republic, France, Germany and Italy
Lohne/Saerbeck -- Individual advice and know-how to go: from the start of the year, the team of sales and technical experts at EnviTec Biogas AG has been offering its expertise on biogas, the green energy all-rounder, at many national and international trade fairs. At Fieragricola in Verona, Italy, the focus was on innovative biogas upgrading using the EnviThan process, as well as the comprehensive EnviTec service portfolio. “The main attraction at our trade fair stand was a CNG fuel pump,” explains Anne Selzer from the Corporate Communications at the EnviTec Group.
Biogas all-rounder EnviTec successfully entered the mobility sector together with Munich-based BAUER Kompressoren in 2017. With its Drive Biogas business model, a recent recipient of a prize from the German Energy Agency (dena), the plant engineering firm is continuing its move towards consumer markets and making a key contribution to the urgently needed transition to sustainable transport. The new business model is intended to promote the use of biogas as a fuel in the transport sector as bio-CNG (compressed natural gas from biomethane). As not just plant engineers but also operators of biogas and gas upgrading plants, this also gives EnviTec the option of utilising the biomethane it produces as a fuel.
EnviThan in great demand in France
The company’s exhibition at the French Biogaz Europe fair in Nantes was dedicated to EnviWaste and biomass plants, as well as EnviThan gas upgrading. With fixed feed-in tariffs for biogas and its recently announced target of reducing the high proportion of nuclear in the energy mix from 75% to 50% by 2025, France is now one of Europe’s most dynamic markets for biogas and biomethane production. This is good for the environment and welcome news for biogas plant operators. The 340 Nm³ EnviThan facility in Étréville, Normandy, started operations earlier this year and now feeds into the >60-bar network run by local network operator GRTgaz.
In Brno, Czech Republic, the company exhibited at the Biomass fair held as part of the TechAgro event, with a key focus being the biogas all-rounder’s extensive service expertise and techniques for biogas plant repowering.
The Sixth International Bioenergy and Biomass Utilisation Summit (BBS for short) held in Shanghai also featured the EnviTec Biogas team in attendance: at the event, purified biomethane was one area of rising interest registered by the company. Jörg Fischer, CFO of EnviTec Biogas AG: “The CNG market is growing steadily in China’s transport sector: one result of this that we’re seeing is increased demand for our EnviThan biogas upgrading technology.”
After attending its sister event IE expo China in early May, EnviTec’s experts arrived in Munich ten days later for IFAT – the world’s leading fair for water, sewage, waste and raw materials management. Anne Selzer: “At IFAT, our environmentally friendly EnviThan gas upgrading technology once again took centre stage at our trade fair stand.”
“Even in this era of digitalisation, trade fairs offer our company an important platform for meeting with and talking to our customers, as well as interested consumers,” Selzer continues. And so the fair calendar for EnviTec’s team of experts is already packed with dates for the second half of 2018. In late August, the biogas all-rounder from Lower Saxony will be exhibiting at Agritechnika Asia before returning to Europe to attend SPACE France in mid-September. In November, the team will be providing customers with information and advice first at EnergyDecentral in Hanover and then at Agromek Hering in Denmark.
