Newly developed briquetting system RUF 500
Ruf presents new briquetting press
Ruf Maschinenbau are bringing two new briquetting systems on to the market with the RUF 300 and the RUF 500, both of which are suited to the processing of diverse wood residuals and further biomass.
The demand for the climate neutral raw material wood as a heating material remains extremely high. As a consequence more and more wood processing plants are exploiting their swarf, milling and planing residual chips as an additional source of income. Pressed into handily shaped briquettes, these residual wood products find great acceptance in the combustible fuels sector.
It is important to note that the selected briquetting system has to work fully automatically, reliably and not take up valuable space. On top of that the performance of the chosen machine has to be compatible with that of the actual requirements. Ruf Maschinenbau GmbH & Co. KG, Zaisertshofen, which is known for its innovation, fullfils all the required criteria and provides biomass systems in various performance classes – from limited throughput of 30 kh/h up to our largest system with a throughput of 1,500 kg/h.
The two new presses– RUF 300 and RUF 500 – serve the purpose of differentiating the categories offered in the lower and middle performance segment to an even greater extent than previously. The RUF 300 can achieve a throughput of approx. 300 kg/h thanks to its 18.5 kW drive motor for the hydraulic device. The RUF 500 which will be presented at LIGNA utilises a 30 kW main drive to achieve a throughput of approx. 425 kg/h.
As with all of the briquetting systems range produced by Ruf, the new machines are perfectly suited to fully automatic, round-the-clock operation and can boast a very low electricity consumption when compared to the briquetting performance (in to/h). Individual adjustments are naturally possible as well as the direct integration into the existing production process. Of course the briquettes fullfil the highest quality demands, as all professionally produced Ruf wood briquettes comply with DIN EN ISO 17225-3:2014-09.
