Forthcoming Webinar - Process Visualization in Industrial Incineration and Furnace Applications
Join our webinar on 18th February 2021 at 3PM GMT and learn how to optimize furnace/boiler operation, reduce wastage, reduce energy costs and minimize environmental emissions with advanced non-contact thermal imaging.
In many industrial furnaces and boilers, thermocouples measure the furnace/boiler temperatures and are installed near the furnace refractory to read the refractory and local furnace atmosphere temperatures. Also, visible furnace cameras are used to visualize the inside of furnaces and boilers.
With incineration, heating, annealing, chemical and petrochemical processing, it is important to continuously monitor and control furnace-refractory temperatures and conditions and measure stock temperatures to control the furnace/boiler processes and temperatures 24/7 accurately.
Implementing a continuous thermal imaging temperature measurement system enables the operator to optimize and monitor the furnace/boiler process to reduce energy and fuel consumption, environmental emissions and refractory damage. It also improves operator safety as monitoring and visualizing the internal furnace/boiler status and process temperatures are all undertaken remotely.
Key Takeaways:
- Understand the differences and specifics of a 3.9 µm borescope thermal imaging system compared to a 1 µm system.
- Learn when to use a 3.9 µm system and a 1 µm system to obtain the best image quality.
- Learn how a 3.9 µm system enables a clear and high-resolution view of the furnace stock and refractory though furnace gas, heavy smoke and particles.
- Understand how AMETEK Land`s MWIR-B-640 ensures optimum furnace operation, reduces fuel use and lengthens incinerator or furnace service life.
Presenter:
Manfred Hayk, Global Infrared Product Manager, AMETEK Land - Manfred Hayk has an engineer’s degree in physical engineering, specializing in laser technology and optical metrology, and over 25 years of technical, product and application development and sales support experience in optical and infrared metrologies.
