Free Energy enters partnership with DualSun - one of the world’s leading PV-T companies!
Interest in hybrid panels (PV-T) is increasing dramatically right now, especially in combination with heat pumps. As a result, Free Energy has entered into an exclusive partnership with the French company DualSun* for the Scandinavian market.
A hybrid panel generates both electricity (PV) and heat (T). By cooling the solar cell the production of electricity increases up to 15% compared to conventional technology. The excess heat will simultaneously be used to increase the heat pump efficiency by approximately 50%. Improvement of the heat pump efficiency is primarily achieved by increasing incoming brine temperature, but also by recharging the energy well. How solar energy is best utilized at every opportunity is managed by Free Energy’s unique system architecture and control system.
Hybrid heat pumps in combination with hybrid panels is particularly interesting for projects where standards for zero- or plus energy houses are to be achieved. This combination provides basis for cost-effective heating solutions with minimum need for supplying operating power. Free Energy has already started delivery of PV-T-equipped HYSS systems for several major housing projects in Sweden and Norway.
Free Energy is proud to announce the cooperation with DualSun. “To be selected as an exclusive partner for DualSun’s hybrid panels, in fierce competition, is a confirmation of our leading position in hybridization of heat pumps”, says Marcus Kanewoff, CEO of Free Energy and continues: “Because Free Energy is complementing the range with both PV and PV-T, the company can fulfill the vision of offering solar-based energy systems that can deliver all the energy that buildings need”.
“Before our establishment in Scandinavia, we were looking for a partner who really understood all the advantages of solar hybrid panels. Through our collaboration with Free Energy we found the right partner who also has developed solar hybrid heat pumps, HYSS, that is working perfectly with our DualSun SPRING PV-T panels, says Jérôme Mouterde, CEO of DualSun. “The partnership provides furthermore DualSun access to work with Free Energy’s unique hybrid technology”, concludes Jérôme about entering into partnership with Free Energy.
During this autumn, Free Energy will arrange physical training sessions (if the corona situation allows, otherwise webinar). These will take place in Stockholm 7th September, Oslo 14th September, and Copenhagen 21st September, where the company’s unique hybrid technology will be in focus.
