Free seminar shows how to energise heat network efficiency
How to energise the efficiency of heat networks to benefit residential customers is the topic of a free breakfast seminar in central London on Thursday 23 November 2017.
Guest speaker, Phil Jones, Chairman of the CIBSE CHP & District Heating Group, will highlight the essentials of best practice from the CIBSE & ADE Code of Practice for Heat Networks . He will explain how developers and scheme owners and operators can use the Code of Practice to its full potential to optimise efficiency throughout the lifecycle of projects, thereby ensuring the delivery of reliable, low carbon heat.
The event is being hosted by community and district heating specialist Switch2 Energy and lawyers Winckworth Sherwood. It is open to district and community heating developers and operators, and will be particularly relevant to heat scheme owners from housing associations, local authorities and the private housing development market.
Colin Hall, Partner at Winckworth Sherwood, will brief delegates on the latest compliance issues, including updates to the Heat Network Regulations
Ian Allan, Head of R&D at Switch2 Energy, will share real-life examples of best practice in resident engagement and the delivery of customer-focused projects that promote transparency and fairness in community heating operation.
' District and community heating schemes are expected to be win-win solutions for both residents and heat suppliers,' said Ian Allan. 'Our seminar will demonstrate how to make best use of the CIBSE code and all the great practice that's out there in the sector to ensure that heat networks deliver on their promise.'
