In North America, the company has demonstrated its ability to offer superior customer value in successful projects with Pennsylvania utility (PECO), Californian utility Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E), Southern California Edison, AEP Texas and Guam Power Authority (GPA). Landis+Gyr's Oncor project is current the firms largest advanced metering system rollout in the US, while its residential smart meter E-350 FOCUS AX, a solid-state advanced electric meter with integrated service switch, is widely deployed by large utilities across the region.
The company's performance in Europe has been equally exceptional. In 2012, Landis+Gyr completed the rollout of 200,000 smart meters and the deployment of load-shifting technology for electric-heated homes in Helsinki, Finland. Last year, it signed a major contract with Ericsson Eesti, to enable Estonia's largest distribution company, Elektrilevi, to fully move to smart metering by 2017.
'The company has been at the forefront of smart meter shipments in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Germany,' added Vikash. 'It has a strong presence in other major smart metering hotspots such as Scandinavia, Estonia, Central and Eastern Europe. In France and Spain, it continues to remain a strong player, even as it extends its reach into emerging markets such as Poland and Russia.'

In the Asia-Pacific region, the company signed multi-year contracts with both SP AusNet and CitiPower/Powercor in Australia to provide smart meters to more than 1.5 million electricity end-users in the state of Victoria. These deployments represent the largest smart meter rollouts to date in Australia.
Landis+Gyr have built on its strengths with the strategic acquisition of Ecologic Analytics, a key participant in the meter data management (MDM) segment. This move ensures that Landis+Gyr have the capability to offer global utilities the software and MDM products they need to complete their smart grid offerings.
