Mr. Carlos Morales, the Ambassador of Spain in Pakistan, inaugurated this key event for Gamesa. Mr. Amjad Ali Awan, Chief Executive Officer of Alternate Energy Development Board Pakistan, gave a speech introducing the situation of wind sector in Pakistan to the audience. Mr. Mehfooz Ahmed Qazi, Director of Alternate Energy, also gave greetings words.
'By providing best in class wind turbine with competitive price, high level O&M excellence and flexibility of EPC cooperation, Gamesa is proved to be valuable partner for Pakistan wind projects', said Mr. Álvaro Bilbao, CEO of Gamesa in APAC.
During the event, Gamesa showed its wind turbine product portfolio, specifically the turbine G114-2.0 MW, which has emerged a standard-bearer in the sector thanks to its low power density model. This model is designed to yield more power at high temperature and dust condition such as those typical Pakistan wind sites with high availability and flexibility. Gamesa has installed more than 400 MW of this model in markets as diverse as Portugal, Brazil, the US, Sweden and Italy.
