GermanPV as an exotic at the HOGA 2013
As an exotic among 'industry typical' exhibitors, we presented us from 13 to 16 January 2013 at one of the largest fair trades for hotel industry and gastronomy in Europe. Between booths with kitchen equipment and hotel facilities we advertise our >>Sonnenstrom 5 Sterne<< - concept together with E-Car and electric filling station that obtains their power from solar modules. The response was overwhelming. In addition to many first surprised and then interested trade fair visitors also many hoteliers followed our directly invitation.
Specifically hotel managers came to us and complained their suffering about increased electricity prices and a lack of concepts for the transition to a 'green' tourism. Mostly a look at the combination of electric car, solar filling station and solar panels was enough to recognize that this equation make not only sense in the hospitality industry. Yes, that almost ONLY this solution makes sense. Who wants to slide with an environmentally friendly electric car by nature, but have to refer to coal or (even worse) nuclear power? Exactly! Many hoteliers were in directly talks very pleased, that we not only offer the actual technical solution, but also a comprehensive consultation, such as the new concept can be incorporated into the marketing of the respective hotel or guest house. One observation we could make during the three days: particularly ladies came for a special exhibit at our booth: the bright green Citroen C1 with electric drive. 'He is so cute!' was heard more than once. There we figured out that in addition to a sophisticated technology and a convincing concept design also plays an important role. The eye fills up and a covered e-tank column should fit visually into in the respective hotel design.
We went into the details, as some of the development engineers of our project partner Siemens visited us to talk about the innovative e-tank column, because this column is more than a power connection for battery charging. Due to an integrated touch screen, it is possible next to the fill up to connect to social networks, to install an access control or to monitor the use of the column. All in all we are left to draw only one conclusion: the HOGA 2013 was a great success for our >>Sonnenstrom 5 Sterne<< - concept. Hoteliers were enthusiastic about the possibilities offered by such a system. The energy saving potential attracted many to us, the design they had to stay with us and the possibilities to incorporate the concept into the hotel's marketing let many ask for a personal appointment.
