How ESCos can help housing providers unlock heat network projects
Housing providers invited to seminar on using ESCos to deliver heat networks
14.03.2019 -- Housing providers can find out how Energy Service Companies (ESCos) can help them deliver on their heat network ambitions at a breakfast seminar in Central London on Thursday 28 March.
The free event is open to housing associations, local authorities, private housing developers and build-to-rent investors. Delegates will find out how ESCos can take the strain out of financing, developing and operating community and district heating projects.
The seminar is being hosted by heat network and ESCo specialist Switch2 Energy and lawyers Winckworth Sherwood, with a guest speaker from Hermetica Black, which develops and delivers decentralised energy projects.
Ian Allan, Head of Market Strategy for Switch2 Energy will share case study examples to explain how ESCos can unlock heat network delivery by removing the key barriers of project complexity and investment constraints. He will examine the benefits and drawbacks of using the ESCo commercial structure to deliver affordable, lower carbon heat supplies for residents.
Colin Hall, Partner at Winckworth Sherwood will explore how upcoming regulation could affect the future of ESCos. He will discuss the legal aspect of the developer and ESCo relationship, and the impact of ESCos on phased developments, connection and adoption fees.
Guest speaker Chris Holmes, Director of Hermetica Black, will focus on some of the key investment, development and asset management aspects of using ESCos to deliver heat networks.
The seminar will take place at Winckworth Sherwood's central London headquarters from 8am to 10am.
